The BURTON jacket W AK Gore SWASH INS nightshade purple is a women's snowboard jacket built for cold days, combining a GORE-TEX 2L shell with mapped synthetic insulation to keep you riding in stormy weather. Outer construction
This jacket uses a GORE-TEX 2-layer recycled nylon 70D plain weave fabric in the Nightshade Purple colorway for a durable, snow-ready shell. Articulated patterning and a rider-wrapped fit support natural movement when you’re hiking, tweaking grabs, or riding with a pack. Backpack-friendly design details help the jacket sit comfortably under shoulder straps, while shaped cuffs and welded, sew-free elasticized sides at the hood opening add a secure, low-bulk feel.
Weather protection
The GORE-TEX 2L construction is fully windproof and waterproof, with fully taped seams and YKK water-resistant zippers to close out snow and moisture. A StormForm Fulltime Contour hood with Cohaesive embedded cinch and length adjustment lets you dial in coverage without sacrificing visibility. Zippered side body vents and Crossflow Venting manage heat buildup so you stay comfortable on the skin track, bootpack, or warmer laps.
Insulation
Body-mapped 60 g PrimaLoft Silver insulation targets warmth at the chest and kidneys, focusing heat where you lose it fastest while leaving other zones more breathable. Inside, recycled soft taffeta is mapped with perforated taffeta to keep the jacket sliding easily over base and mid layers without feeling clammy.
Snow features and storage
An ergonomic stretch zip-out waist gaiter with jacket-to-pant interface helps seal out spindrift and deep snow. A built-in RECCO reflector adds an extra layer of searchable safety for big-mountain days. Storage is dialed with zippered handwarmer pockets, external zippered chest pockets with expandable bellows, a zippered sleeve pocket with detachable tethered scraper and Velcro-secured card pocket, an exterior-access phone pocket, an interior mesh dump pocket, and a power mesh goggle/lens dump pocket inside the chest. Stretch wrist gaiters, a two-way center front zipper, and in-pocket hem cinch complete a regular-fit jacket that layers easily and works across a wide range of winter conditions.
